This dissertation explores an often little-known way of thinking that nevertheless profoundly permeates African art. The aim of this research, for those unaware of the concept, is to capture all the transmission-related issues hidden behind objects that seem purely aesthetic. We strive to understand the complexity of the animistic message that seeks to remind humans of their rightful place as mortals and how these messages materialise through creations.
