Le quartier, en pleine r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ration, voit son histoire s’effacer sous les reconstructions.
Les souvenirs des \u00e9preuves pass\u00e9es disparaissent, et les visiteurs d\u00e9ambulent sans percevoir l’\u00e2me du lieu.
Ce projet cherche \u00e0 pr\u00e9server les cicatrices du temps, \u00e0 illuminer les lieux embl\u00e9matiques et \u00e0 raconter leur histoire.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

Les huit architectures sont dispers\u00e9es le long d\u2019un parcours symbolique, chacune situ\u00e9e dans des emplacements cl\u00e9s du quartier.\nElles sont positionn\u00e9es de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 raconter l\u2019histoire de la ville.\nChaque structure interpr\u00e8te un aspect particulier du patrimoine architectural et culturel.\n<\/figcaption>\n <\/article>\n

Pour construire ces formes, des bases g\u00e9om\u00e9triques ont \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9es : deux carr\u00e9s et un cercle dans une grille orthogonale \u00e0 45 degr\u00e9s.\nCette grille de segments de 4,5 m\u00e8tres forme une matrice de 12, cr\u00e9ant une structure r\u00e9p\u00e9titive qui organise uniform\u00e9ment l’espace. \u00c0 chaque \u00e9tape, un c\u00f4t\u00e9 de carr\u00e9 est ajout\u00e9, formant deux carr\u00e9s imbriqu\u00e9s orient\u00e9s \u00e0 45 degr\u00e9s\n<\/figcaption>\n <\/article>\n

Dans cet esprit de pr\u00e9servation et d’innovation, l’inspiration vient du motif mangour, \u00e9l\u00e9ment d\u00e9coratif caract\u00e9ristique de l\u2019architecture locale, pour cr\u00e9er un motif alternant entre un octogone symbolisant la r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ration et la renaissance du lieu et une \u00e9toile \u00e0 4 branches \u00e9voquant l\u2019id\u00e9e de guidance.\nCela a permis de former un r\u00e9seau g\u00e9om\u00e9trique utilis\u00e9 comme fondation pour implanter les nouvelles structures.\nChaque structure r\u00e9interpr\u00e8te des th\u00e8mes abstraits, mettant en lumi\u00e8re l’histoire du quartier avec la photographie, la cartographie, les films et les objets artisanaux.\n<\/figcaption>\n <\/article>\n

L’\u00e9toile \u00e0 quatre branches guide les visiteurs tout en symbolisant les fissures cr\u00e9\u00e9es intentionnellement dans les b\u00e2timents.\nCes fissures repr\u00e9sentent la “souffrance” subie par les structures historiques, marquant les impacts du temps et des conflits.\nL’\u00e9toile met en lumi\u00e8re les \u00e9preuves des b\u00e2timents, soulignant leur histoire de r\u00e9sistance et de renouvellement.\n<\/figcaption>\n <\/article>\n","protected":false},"author":66,"featured_media":45979,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_metafield_presentation":"The project continues on from my dissertation on the historic site in Jeddah. After a long period of abandonment, the government has undertaken a significant transformation to preserve and promote this heritage.

The creation of a symbolic route through a theoretical framework highlights the rebirth of abandoned buildings. This path illustrates this long passage of time from a state of deterioration to a rebirth.

Behind these ruins, the roots of culture and identity reappear. This evolution is made clear through the installation of various architectural fragments that interpret the symbol of abandonment of its history.
