“Depuis des ann\u00e9es, je r\u00eavais d\u2019architectures co-habit\u00e9es avec des animaux; de lieux con\u00e7us pour accompagner une relation \u00e0 l\u2019animal qui puisse \u00eatre libre et profitable \u00e0 toutes les parties.”<\/p>

Le projet a d\u00e9marr\u00e9 par des rencontres avec diff\u00e9rents acteurs de la protection animale: responsables \u00e0 la SPA, g\u00e9rants de refuges ind\u00e9pendants, b\u00e9n\u00e9voles… des \u00e9changes pr\u00e9cieux afin de discerner les diff\u00e9rentes probl\u00e9matiques des refuges.\nMon choix d’un site existant pour le projet s’est port\u00e9 sur Le radeau des animaux<\/em>, un refuge ind\u00e9pendant, fond\u00e9 par Dominique et ses b\u00e9n\u00e9voles en Bretagne.\n<\/figcaption>\n <\/article>\n\n

“Il y a des chiens en refuge aujourd’hui que l’on appelle les chiens fant\u00f4mes, c’est-\u00e0-dire qu’ils ne sont plus visibles. Ils ont tellement \u00e9t\u00e9 vus sur les r\u00e9seaux sociaux que les gens ne les voient plus, ils passent outre.”<\/p>

Ce staff de 9 ans (clich\u00e9 1.), r\u00e9cemment arriv\u00e9 au refuge, aura peu de chances de trouver une famille. Ceci en raison de son \u00e2ge avanc\u00e9 et de son apparence, souvent mal per\u00e7ue \u00e0 cause de la r\u00e9putation de ces races de chiens, jug\u00e9es \u00e0 tort comme dangereuses. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

Ce projet se positionne comme une alternative pour les chiens “fant\u00f4mes” habitants des refuges d\u00e9j\u00e0 surcharg\u00e9s mais qui n’attirent pas l’attention des adoptants pour diverses raisons. Ces chiens, vou\u00e9s \u00e0 passer de longues ann\u00e9es en refuge, trouvent ici un lieu o\u00f9 s’ancrer \u00e0 long terme et jouissent d’une nouvelle visibilit\u00e9. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

Afin de g\u00e9n\u00e9rer des recettes et d\u00e9velopper une autre approche de l\u2019adoption, le refuge s\u2019hybride en chambre d\u2019h\u00f4tes. Il re\u00e7oit les potentiels adoptants le temps d’un s\u00e9jour, pour vivre au plus pr\u00e8s des animaux. La rencontre devient une exp\u00e9rience de vie \u00e0 part enti\u00e8re, donnant l\u2019opportunit\u00e9 de cr\u00e9er des affinit\u00e9s avec les animaux, avant une \u00e9ventuelle adoption.\n<\/figcaption>\n <\/article>\n

Le chenil commun : se mouvoir librement<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

L\u2019espace central du chenil est d\u00e9gag\u00e9, les boxes repouss\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur en petites maisonnettes pour des chiens seuls ou en bin\u00f4mes. Entre ces maisonnettes, de grands axes en polycarbonate (toiture et portes) \u00a0illuminent l\u2019espace et g\u00e9n\u00e8rent 4 acc\u00e8s sur l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur. L’axe central devient un espace libre pour les chiens en suppl\u00e9ment du parc ext\u00e9rieur.\n \n<\/figcaption>\n <\/article>\n

Lorsqu\u2019un chien arrive dans le grand chenil, il ne peut pas \u00eatre imm\u00e9diatement plong\u00e9 dans le grand bain. L\u2019espace est donc divisible gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des sas, permettant de moduler l’espace selon les caract\u00e8res et besoins des chiens. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

Le sas est une structure grillag\u00e9e qui se d\u00e9plie et se replie en coulissant sur des rails, lib\u00e9rant (lorsque d\u00e9pli\u00e9e) un passage s\u00e9curis\u00e9 entre les espaces. La division int\u00e9rieure se r\u00e9percute \u00e0 l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur par des parois coulissantes.\n<\/figcaption>\n <\/article>\n\n

Les maisonnettes : dormir paisiblement<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

Lorsque le lit est d\u00e9pli\u00e9, l\u2019\u00e9paisseur du mur r\u00e9v\u00e8le des perforations o\u00f9 sont incrust\u00e9es des capsules emplies de plantes odorantes ayant un effet apaisant sur les chiens ( lavande, val\u00e9riane, vanille).\nC\u00f4t\u00e9 jardin, le mur est perfor\u00e9 d\u2019ouvertures circulaires qui filtrent la lumi\u00e8re, prot\u00e9geant le chien d’une luminosit\u00e9 trop importante ou de mouvements qui pourraient perturber son sommeil.\nEn partie hautes et basses du mur les ouvertures sont dot\u00e9es de caches pivotants qui laissent passer l\u2019air afin de limiter l\u2019humidit\u00e9 et la chaleur mais aussi de connecter les chiens aux odeurs vari\u00e9es de l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur : \u00a0terre, herbe humide, animaux\u2026\n<\/figcaption>\n <\/article>\n
